WSL: 27" LCD TV £499.99

At Argos, clearance offer reduced from £750.

Its a Bush, which isn't too bad for the price.

Interesting point made in this article about this regarding dead pixels and why buying from Argos is a good idea. Never tried that (wouldn't be a bad idea for computer monitors either if their prices came down a bit!) - seems like a good idea though?

    Argos

I think they have reduced this because Asda have a 26" DUAL LCD and Asda where comparing their price to Argos.
If you are thinking of getting the Argos one hold back and take a look at ASDA's. I have one, and its the dogs doo doos for the price.
I bought the ALDI 32" and took it back to buy this, much better than ALDI's and Argo's LCD plus the sound which normally is poor is great on ASDA's.
BTW with ASDA you also have a money back guarantee for 12 months if anything goes wrong.

Just returned from Asda, but unfortunately the store I went to didn't have any - either in stock or on display :-(

I did however call into Staples aswell, and they have a similar one to that mentioned in my original post, branded 'Medion' (which I believe is an ok brand, which Aldi seem to shift alot of) - same price, similar spec. Spoke to the manager who advises that most stores should have these in stock, or at least on display. The store I went to had around 20 boxes on show. Might be worth a look at anyway, especially if you want to check out a few options.

They also had a very nice looking 30" LCD on display, though the price wasn't quite as competitive at £900 - though I didn't get chance to look at the specs, which may have accounted for the price.
