How to find £2000 quickly...?

Adapt the theme. If you can do big pictures for walls why not do smaller ones as personalised birthday party invites, thank you letters, headed stationary for kids.
Try contacting a school PTA and suggesting fairy photos as a fundraising idea, the same with Brownie troops and playgroups. Following on from that its easy enough to print onto t-shirt transfers and iron onto t-shirts, bags, school PE-bags.....
Cool idea! Ooooooh how I wish I was a dab hand at Photoshop...0 -
Hi, I've not been on the forum for a few days, but was surprised to find my link removed.
I just wanted to say that in know way at all was I trying to advertise. As pointed out in an earlier thread, my services are mainly local and therefore not of much use to anyone here anyway.
I only posted the link because someone asked me to and I thought it was a good way to share ideas.
My apologies for breaking any rules, it wasn't intentional.
Thanks to everyone who offered advice before the link was removed and good luck in your moneymaking ideas!

Hi
the fairy photos are absolutley faboulas, we had some done the last 2 yrs whilst on hol, the 1st freebie, (modeled 4 the photographer), this one last oct did it cheaper, so only paid £10.00 for a 8in x 10in
I scanned the photo and used it 4 xmas cards, calenders, the list is endless and if your the one to offer the services, your onto a money spinner.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Did you have the photographer's permission to scan the photo's? I hope so, as he/she may not be too happy if you openly tell people you copied their work without permission! (not me having a go - just want to warn youin case you didn't know!)
Obviously it's hard to monitor what people do with the images after they receive them, but I make it clear to my customers that any copying, scanning etc. of my images is a violation of my copyright. Other photographer's might not be so bothered, but maybe they don't rely on their work to provide a full time income.
It's quite a serious problem within the arts/media industry.
I've been considering whether to try and help people learn how to use photoshop to do this kind of work themselves. Maybe one-to-one tuition locally, or running a course, or even produce an eBook with step by step guidelines.
Does anyone think this might be a good idea? Or maybe I'm dreaning again...:rotfl:0 -
