It’s the most famous steam locomotive in the world, and in just a few days you could be riding behind it in first-class style.

We’ve teamed-up with leading rail tour company Vintage Trains for a limited-time exclusive competition, as we have reserved a table for four people in first class on Thursday, February 19… and you and three friends could be there for a fabulous hour spent at mainline speeds.

You’ll depart from Birmingham Moor Street station, right in the heart of the city, and you’ll be seated directly behind the world’s most famous steam locomotive as it takes to the national rail network and opens up. Fast, loud and unforgettable.

With express speeds around three times faster than heritage railways, this is No.4472 Flying Scotsman as it was meant to be experienced. As any railfan knows, the 1923-built loco was the first to officially break the 100mph barrier, and has toured the world since it retired from British Railways in 1963.

The service from Birmingham is running for just three days during school half term, and there are a limited number of seats on each departure.

So if you win our fabulous prize, you’ll be aboard at 2.30pm for a memorable hour behind an icon of British history.

Entries must be with us by 12 noon on Monday, February 16, and you must be available to attend the trip on February 19. If we cannot make contact with you, we will move on to the next potential winner, and so on, until we have a lucky winner.
