State Pension -HMRC system update on 13 Feb
Morning all
checking my wife state pension forecast and it shows the below -
You can get your State Pension on xxx 2034
Your forecast is £230.25 a week, £1,001.18 a month, £12,014.12 a year
Your forecast
- is not a guarantee and is based on the current law
- is based on your National Insurance record up to 5 April 2025
- does not include any increase due to inflation
£230.25 is the most you can get
You cannot improve your forecast any more.
Does this mean she will definitely qualify for full pension , I have checked her record and she has 41 or 42 full NI years , However it also states she has been a contracted out pension scheme..
The online SP forecast (via govt gateway) now shows below message -
A system update planned for 13 February 2026 will further improve the accuracy of forecasts for customers who reach State Pension age after 5th April 2029.
You should wait until after this date to request a State Pension forecast using this tool.
Does anybody know what this relates to ?
Thanks in advance
Mick
