Civil Service Pensions scandal: Loans offered as thousands hit by outrageous payment delays
Thousands of newly-retired civil servants forced into financial hardship as a result of outrageous delays receiving their pensions have only now been offered loans to bridge the gap – a move deemed "too little, too late" by some. Do not forget the struggling relatives after member of pension passes away. We have had a awful time with them and unable to access their hub to put in a complaint we have had our recorded delivery letters ignored requesting Resolution Dispute process be initiated as pension ombudsman said we had to go through this first but was ignored as was our SAR request ignored. Horrible firm left a very bad taste in my mouth,

Capita told me over the phone today that they are not currently offering interest free loans to members. They say they are only for people who left the Civil Service within the last 12 months. I left several years ago.

capita are not offering loans at all. The Cabinet Office is for anyone who took their pension from 1 January 2025 or later.
