No proof!

hi all.. After seeing Martin’s advice to check your band, I realised our entire street is in the very highest council tax band there is. I live in a terraced house in a unique street of houses that were all built in 1982, nothing like them in the vicinity. I cannot find any sales between their specific 1989-1993 period, nothing online prior to 1995 (well of course), and nobody here with a memory that far back.
what I do have is proof of houses in the area that are far bigger and worth far more, on a lower tax band. I also have proof of a sale in 1982 when new, and one in 1998. Both prove we are below the valuation threshold of £320000 in 1991. But they won’t accept either.

I have checked old newspapers at the library and asked the oldest neighbours. I also looked through my title deeds. They just don’t go up for sale very often.

Anyone have any advice? I’m so frustrated but I really think I have a solid case.

What are the sale prices for 1982 and 1998? What is so special about these houses that they are in Band H, when they are terraced?
