It's a bit grey and misty here, nothing to invite me outside.
I got rather glued to the TV yesterday watching far to much of the Winter Olympics, all those sliders, snowboarders, skaters and skiers had me riveted. Winter sports look so much more scary than the summer ones. Perhaps I'll do the same today though I'll change the bedding first. I did a small delicates wash yesterday, today it'll be a white one after that I will immerse myself in TV again. Need to lick my wounds a bit more.
Wishing everyone a good Sunday.

Morning all
Back from a damp and misty few days in Cheshire. However we walked each day , got wet every day but it was a break and change of scenery. And today it’s not raining…yet! Looking at the reports, should have been in the far NW of Scotland, apparently it’s been lovely there!
Have to take DM to some shops today and there’s oodles of washing to get through plus other stuff on my list - next week is busy so need to get organised!
I have been reading along, can’t remember all but thoughts with anyone not feeling well or dealing with sadnessHave a good Sunday

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, immersing yourself in the winter olympics is just what you need at the moment. I must admit I started watching yesterday and couldn't turn it off!
The Dad from school came and checked the car, he said I shouldn't drive it so I phoned the warranty folk who sent someone out to look and of course the warning lights had gone out. Didn't have much faith in him as he said it was the DPF only it's not a diesel! Anyway they said they would get it recovered but no-one came so will phone again today. What a palaver.
Didn't do the shopping yesterday with waiting for mechanics so will walk down today and get wet. Must limit what I buy as I have to carry it - may have to use the wally trolley.
Glad you enjoyed the change of scenery AA.
Hope you're feeling better today Nanny.
Bathrooms have been cleaned, hoovered round after emptying the fire too. Shower next for me.
Take care. XX

Good morning
It's not raining! Although I do believe that rain is forecast later. Yesterday it was raining and miserable all day. DH had the rugby on, so wasn't bothered. I set to and cleaned out the fridge, did a freezer inventory and cleaned out the cupboard where I keep the bread, biscuits and crisps. All so tidy now I keep opening the door just to admire it. It won't last as DH can never put anything back where he found it.
I also had a lovely surprise from a friend I worked with about 10 years ago. We've always kept in touch, but she didn't realise it was my 70th at the end of last year, and sent me a lovely belated present of a bracelet with my initial and 70 on. So kind of her. She lives 100 miles away now, but it would be nice to meet up sometime, but she has a busy life looking after her husband and an elderly aunt.
Today will be the usual bedding change. Roast lamb for dinner, the last of the cheap Xmas joints. Having a tidy freezer means I've meal planned for next week, just hope we keep to it.
Gers, how lovely you have the other painting to make the pair.
Have a good Sunday all whatever you're doing, take care.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Now I must be quick typing this next comment as I don't think it won't apply for much longer! We have snippets of sun with patches of blue sky!! Sadly the usual light rain is due to take over shortly.
Youngest DGD invited herself for a sleepover last night. She was quite happy to watch the Olympics with me, apart from switching channels so she could watch the Masked Singer in the evening! We have both been fed and watered in good time as she is going to her dad's mid morning (he is coming to pick her up) as she likes to meet up with her younger half siblings when he has them.
Shepherds pie for lunch. Base courtesy of the batch in the freezer so just the mash to put on and a few veg to prep.
Well the sun that emerged earlier has now gone but snippets of blue sky still remain. so much better than total grey sky.. Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) as always for our sad, poorly or lonely. Take care all xx

Morning all and thanks for starting us off @Gers. It's dry here at the moment - a bit brighter than of late and feeling milder too. The sun is doing its best to get out but light showers are apparently due later this morning and set to linger until late evening.
I've nothing in particular planned for today although there are all kinds of pottering jobs I could do - if the mood takes me! 😁 If the sun sticks around for a while I might get some of them done; if not it will be a Slothful Sunday. Snap, @TA, I'm also having cottage pie for dinner (with mushy peas).
@remmie - I'm another one who likes to admire tidy cupboards - if only they would stay like that. As there's just me here I've only myself to blame if they don't. 🙄
Nothing else of note to say so I won't prattle on. Have a good day whatever you are or are not doing. Take care all. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -

Morning everyone
TA I'll copy you and quickly say we have blue sky and white rather than grey clouds. That was a nice surprise, little one tells me that she'll still come for a sleepover when she's 'a grown up lady!'
I'll put my towels in to wash before I go down to mam and dads, hopefully it will still be dry when I come back home. and I'll get them dry outside. I was late getting up this morning as I was chatting to eldest DD, she had just finished her Hyrox competition in Vienna, a minute faster than her last one. She sent some lovely photos last night, Vienna looks lovely.
I managed to get some more of the paperwork sorted yesterday afternoon, still have a little more to do, I must have last done it in 2019 as that's when the council tax bills go back to.
Right I'd best get dressed, then I'll go down to mam and dads, hope everyone has a good day x

Not raining at the moment but not sunny either and more rain due later, washing will have to go on the airer again today.
I’m just waiting to hear about a load of free logs someone had put up on FB, he wants the lot taken away and I’ve said we can go and collect but it might take two journeys, it will be brilliant for next winter if we get it.
Dinner tonight will be roast pork and all the trimmings I might do some yorkshires too, we have gf stuffing in the freezer so OH will be happy, he is really the only one who likes stuffing so when we make a batch we freeze it ready for the next dinner.
Topsy well done on the new job xx
Have good days all and take care xx11
