Too much stuff in flat. Boxes of toys, paint things train tracks, previous tv lying around. Kid hasn't used painting craft stuff for years. Move ti garage or throw or charity shop?
Too many clothes too.

Sell it at a local jumble sale, or donate it. The free space is always a weight off the mind.

When I found it difficult I packed up what I didn't need and stuck it in the loft. Aka garage.
Before long it seemed no longer important. Easy to get rid of.
When it goes to the charity shop you are giving to people who find those things as treasures and raise money for the charity. Double win 🙂

viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

Make into batches and put on local free group on Facebook. I've found that a good batch of craft stuff goes really quickly to people who run kids' activities of whatever sort.

It's the making decisions on what you keep (msy need) and whst to throw I find difficult!
Worth getting a shredder?but that takes up room lol. Guess could stick in garage when not needed.
I need to chuck dbs, tax credit forms, kid's school reports etc I guess should be shredded as important info on them

If you move the unwanted/unused stuff to the garage, you're just moving the problem out of sight.
And you'll feel the same when you need to get to something in the garage.
Vinted/eBay any good quality/condition clothes that research tells you might sell.
Charity shop the rest of the good condition stuff.
Good condition toys may be welcome at charity shops.

I had a craft clear out and gave it to a local Primary School. Every school's budget is under pressure these days. I asked them if they wanted it and they were delighted to take it. They said they never get donations of craft materials. I have given schools good condition books and our local library takes good condition books. They either go in to stock or are sold in the library. You could also try selling books online.

Re shredding documents. Do you have local tool library? They would possibly have Shredders to borrow and no space taken up in your flat when you put it back!

What's a 'tool library '? A normal book library?

Similar model but for tools. I only wish there were more of them!
