PRA Group- Barclaycard debt

Yes you can stop paying, your account is "on hold" now until they respond with the correct paperwork, however long that may be.
If they produce a compliant, legible copy of your agreement, ok, you start paying again, no harm done, but if they don`t, you can simply walk away and they can`t do anything to force payment from you.
So unless they send what they are supposed to, ignore it for the time being.

Cancel the DD now. Just keep an eye on the snail mail, as all official communication has to be by physical post.
Remember, the debt still exists and nothing prevents the creditor starting legal action. You must defend on the grounds of unenforceability, not just ignore. They'll fold as long as you defend. More likely an issue in 5 years and 9 months when you're not alert.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing2 -
an issue of n 5 years and 9 months? Even though it defaulted from Barclaycard 6 years ago?

That's good news. Don't be surprised if they keep pestering you, they phoned me every two days and emailed me every week for about 18 months after they admitted that my debt was uneforcable. As RAS says they could still start legal action so read every letter they send you in case it's an LBA.

this is good news and to anyone following, you allow enough time, paperwork goes missing - time to think on that. I have seen two common themes amongst 2 separate online spaces now.
People think think they can ignore till the end and get SB… this might work if you do not own a home but I have been through this process a number of times now and if you own your home you may get lucky with some but eventually they will halt the SB process. Some then get like to go all the way till the end despite paperwork or even some paperwork and rely on a judge / or panic before this and settle on things larger than they would have gotten away with if they just negotiated sooner than waiting to negotiate at the end when a judge is about to go in favour of the DCA.
Then there is the other one (unfortunate majority) who pay over the odds right away and panic right away thinking their house is going to be gone asap and their life is over if they dont pay.
