Is there a list of who creditors sell debt to
Is there a generic list of which lenders sell their debt on and to whom? And which creditors use ‘in house’ collections?
Which lender is likely to go for CCJ (or decree in Scotland)
I’ve tried reading back through some threads (the search function on here is hopeless - or maybe it’s just me!)
I’ve accounts with;
Natwest (x4 cards)
Vanquis (card)
Newday (x2 cards)
Asda (card)
Zopa (1 card, 1 loan)
Lendable (loan)
Capital One (x2 cards)
I know lenders sell their debts on then on again but it would be nice to know initially who I’ll end up dealing with in the beginning.

Some lenders may have a "regular" buyer, or an agreement that a buyer will take all debts fitting into certain criteria. But many will package up a collection of defaults and ask for a quote from a couple of debt collectors.

I had a Capital One debt which went to Lowell Group after I was made redundant and got myself into a massive financial mess (around 2-3 years ago), they are really flexible and easy to work with in my experience.

The main players we see the most of on here are Cabot, Arrow Global, Lowell, Link, and PRA Group, but there are many more, you just can`t predict who will sell what to who unfortunately.
As Manyways says, some banks have their favourite "go to" buyer, but most accounts get bundled together and are auctioned off to the highest bidder.

My defaults are with the following if that's any help:
Halifax x4 - CabotMBNA - Cabot
Lloyds - Cabot
Barclaycard - PRA (Previously Averto)
Barclays (Previoously Moorcroft)
Several of the Cabot ones bounced around between Cabot, Wescot, and Opos for the first year, but have since all been with Cabot.

I have New Day (2x cc) and Halifax (cc and overdraft) - all with Cabot now

Have you asked for CCAs? They are less likely to be found for debts that have been sold a few times. If they can't produce the cca then the debt is unenforceable and you can simply ignore it.
