Morning @Gers thanks for the start. I’ve been awake since 4:30am - busy brain. Hoping to get out for a run shortly to clear my head.
Not working (again) today which is disappointing - trying hard not to get paranoid.I’m seeing my sister later - we have a charity donation to drop off and will grab a coffee.
Beef stir fry for tea.
Have a good day all.Coxy

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope yesterday wasn't too traumatic for you.
It's a bit showery at the moment but looks like it could be a fairly decent day for February. Yesterday started off very wet but cleared up enough to put out a couple of dressing gowns I washed and they were nearly dry.
The ballet on Saturday was really good, we had fabulous seats and a nice meal beforehand. I had gone to Glasgow a bit earlier and had a bit of a browse around a few shops - managed to get a few bargains for little ones for next Christmas!
Picked up little one after and she stayed here for the night, much laughter, book reading, playing and visiting a friend at the shop she works in. Little one was eating ice cream at 10.30 yesterday morning ! Her Mum and Dad picked her up after we had lunch - they looked a bit rough!
Hope you get some hours at work soon Coxy.
Sounds like lots of unwanted house building is going on.
Waiting to hear from the heating engineer, may give him a nudge today.
Hugs to anyone in need, take care. XX

Morning all
Had a lie in this morning and woke up just after 6am - long may it continue, but I bet it won't!
Nothing planned today except a trip to a different A**i to see if they have any sparkling flavoured water that I like that never seems to be in my regular one, they just always only have the still water.
Some bedding to hang up on the airer. Will be nice when I can start hanging it outside on the line but not there quite yet!
Have a good day all x

Morning, thanks Gers.
Seems to be dry this morning, yesterday was quite a nice day, the sun shone for a while!
It's the Book Club this morning in the library, then just pottering probably. The garden and the back yard are desperately in need of a tidy, might get on to that.
Glad you're feeling better Dp1, it's been a long haul.
Coxy, hope you get some work in.
Ruby your dh is doing well with jobs in the house!
Commiserations to the non sleepers, hope you sleep better tonight.
Thoughts to our sad and poorly people, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. We look to have fog for starters today, then who knows. Yesterday's drizzly day never happened and we even had a sunny morning.
I am joining the unwanted building brigade now. There has been muttering and whispering about this for a while but finally plans went online at the w/e. To be fair it doesn't affect me too much but I feel for those that it does. There's a field that backs on to the houses on the other side of our road and that is where the build of 102 houses is happening. They will have their lovely pastoral view of fields and trees replaced by a building site then a small estate. I'll just have the building noise to put up with.
Yesterday's day of sloth was spent watching stuff on catch up and old films. Today I must do better!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. And especially anyone suffering hard times and problems. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning again - still dark though the moon shone through the clouds earlier.
Glad that you enjoyed the ballet @camelot1001, Snow Queen is beautiful. @Coxy11 - are you part time or on call only? Doesn't sound great. Busy day ahead for you @Chrisca50.
The drive there and back yesterday were both stress-free. Not much traffic either way although the large number of cars coming out of the Loch Lomond road towards Glasgow was surprising. Meeting up with Lionel's niece and her partner was fairly short and sweet. I handed over the four items I had and she gave me some things which had originally belonged to my beloved DM, I had given them to L as he cherished them. I'm not sure what to do with them but, clearly, the niece was struggling too so I took them all.
This morning I'm off up to the big town for a 9.00a.m. appointment to have chin hairs dealt with and then to the exercise class which is resuming. After a five week break it'll be a shock to my system. Later I have the monthly and weekly spreadsheets to tackle as well as finish off the new one.
I've noticed that many here are having difficulties with the new text editor (me too). There's a dedicated board for the reporting of problems and quirks which alerts the forum team members and, hopefully, helps iron them out. Don't want to lose anyone here because of the stresses of it. Think we did last time. Here's the link -
Sending hugs to all our poorlies and those who are sad. Take care all.

morning everyone I’m off out to meet my friend soon we are going for a decent walk and a cuppa and a catch up we burn more calories talking than walking. Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day got some bedding nearly dry and I went out for a good walk to enjoy the sunshine. My youngest son is 39 today the running club he’s in one of the girls thought it was his 40th she had made him a cake for a bit of fun to take to the track and she quickly iced on the top the word nearly it wouldn’t of mattered to him he is like his mam loves cake 😂. Enjoy your excercise class Gers a bit of normality after all your running around. I’ve got pork chops out for tonight mine will be with a bit of salad the hubby will have chips. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning
It looks very dull out but seems dry at present. Yesterday's shuffle of the freezer didn't happen so I must make time today, before I do my shopping list. Does anyone know what groceries they want, but the mind goes blank when putting pen to paper? Mine does. And then I have to remember to look at the list when shopping. The joys of getting old.
Tonight will be steak pie again, with chips for DH and veg for me. I'm trying to do a meal plan for this week, but finding it difficult. It'll probably be easier once I've been shopping. Have pencilled in tomorrow for that.
Nothing else planned for today at present, will see how the day evolves.
Happy birthday to Izzys son.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning everyone
Still grey and drizzly here.
I had a lovely lazy afternoon yesterday, reading my paper and long chats with DD in Germany and then little one before she went to bed.
I've got housework to do this morning, then I'll take mam for some shopping and she needs new books at the library.
Little one has gone back to school today, she was excited when she was on the phone last night, but DD said she didn't want to go this morning. She finds it difficult being off so much then having to go back. At least she's off her feeding pump now, except at night.
Gers - do you mind me asking what Lionel's research was about?
A lot of people seem to be affected by house building, try not to worry too much, the field the back of my house was meant to have another 100 house built on it when I moved here almost 11 years ago - still nothing!
Right, I need to get moving. Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, thanks for the thread start @Gers. We have a chilly day to look forward to (again), mainly cloudy with showers possible. February seems to be continuing where January left off!
Yesterday DS disconnected my broken WM - cue much water all over the floor! 🙄 My NDN's partner is going to take it to the tip for me today and and will connect up the new one that's coming on Wednesday (he's a plumber). He won't take payment so I'll buy him a box of beers instead - only fair since he's saving me a £50 charge that I would have had to pay for delivery, installation and recycling. Today I have the pleasure of cleaning the space under the worktop before it arrives - lots of debris to evict although not as much as I'd expected.
Still plugging away at the freezer contents with gammon slices for tea yesterday, a large chicken leg to go in the SC for tomorrow, and a cheese & onion crispbake for tonight. Only a bit of room made but it all helps. Mr Postie has just been with junk mail (easily sorted) but there's a couple of admin type letters to deal with. And the pharmacy has sent a text that my next lot of meds are ready for collection.
@Izzy - Happy birthday to your DS. Nifty thinking by the girl who made his cake!
I hope everyone has a good start to the new week, take care all and stay safe. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11
