Personally I wouldn’t fix for five years as there will be early repayment charges; I would look at 2 or 3 year fix or tracker. Lower ERC’s and in the case of tracker no erc and can make any overpayments you like
Also I would leave the term as it is; why?
1) No credit checks if you stay with same provider2) Making overpayments naturally reduces the term without committing to higher contracted payment
