thank you. Yes soon as I can lower the phones I will be doing they were 2/3 year contracts so got very stuck with them.
for my tv I will ring them up as online won’t lower it. So I’m hoping that can change. The youngest did have a part time job but lost it and is looking. The middle one I thought £50/100 was a lot so maybe I need to look at that more.

I don’t know why you feel terrible about asking for board. I always had to pay my way, but it’s a lot cheaper than they would have to be paying if they lived independently.
Do they know about how much debt you are trying to manage?

no I’ve not had any maintenance since he moved out. She was 17 when he left but turned 18 this month.

they know I have a lot and often borrow yes. The eldest knows my full amount the two youngest just know I have debts. A lot of their friends don’t pay board so made me think it wasn’t the done thing any more. But obv not everyone is in the position I am in and have no choice really

I would suggest looking into child maintenance then. Even if it’s just for a few months.
Although it can continue up to age 20 for children in full time education and I wonder if that applies to your one doing the apprenticeship as well?
and maybe post on the benefits board about your child who can only do certain work - they are pretty good at knowing the right information over there. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Thank you. yes we struggle with the food budget greatly. I often go over the amount even though try not too.
I think it is the contributions I need to address with the kids the most and get them to help out. Just feel bad not sure why as old enough to provide for themselves. Then will look at internet and tv.

You should also think that they need to grow up with sensible money habits. Adults cannot live for free. Think an income of 980 on an apprenticeship is there to spend on clothes, holidays, fun, a car, is not a good start to their adult life. £200 a month is a LOT less than it would cost them anywhere else to live.
Have you also talked to them about your debts problems and about how you wish you had never got into this cycle with easy credit card spending?2 -
If you are at the end of your contract then no, your new broadband provider does that for you, though it does slightly depend on that TV package. If you are on contact then they will not negotiate, but cancel the TV package when allowed.
