Santander Mortgage Offer Extension - confused

Evening all,

On Tuesday, our broker requested an extension to our mortgage offer with Santander as our new build will not be ready in time (shocker!)

On Wednesday, the app said that it was with the Underwriters dated 28th January.

We’ve just had a notification that Underwriting is completed but the date of completion has reverted back to the date we originally got approved although there is an updated offer there dated the 30th January.

As of this morning, the tracker is now stating that it is with Underwriters again and our broker has not had our new offer through (although still showing on the tracker)

Our broker is investigating but can only go by the information that they have on their tracker and the offer isn't showing on there.

Has anyone had this before? Is this normal or should we be preparing ourselves for a hiccup? Is it potentially a system glitch?

Our thoughts are that surely they wouldn't have generated a new offer prior to completing underwriting…can they revert back to underwriting after generating an offer?

Hopefully I’ll have had an update asap but I wanted to ask here to help prepare myself.
