Buying a bike, when's a sale?

I want to get a Gravel bike, they are pricey so want to get one in a sale but not sure when this is likely to be, does anyone know when bike shops generally discount or might have a sale on? Thanks

    Bikes are always on sale.

Seldom do they clear all the old stock out before the new colours and finishes come in.

Was budget do you have and how do you envisage using it, I do feel that gravel bike is generally a fashionable term when all that most people need is a bike that works and without the marketing gimmicks that push prices up unnecessarily.

Take a look at a few on line retailers, use "gravel bike offers" in your favourite search engine you will see bikes form £750 upwards. Look for reviews of the bike from independent cycling sites and consider if you are getting the bike that meets your cycling needs and is value for money.

Buying cheap is not always the best solution as better bikes have better kit and will be more robust and last longer.

If you want to see a bike I would pop into your local shop, eg Halfords or Decathlon and see what they "advise".

For me when planning a purchase I wait until a bank holiday as that is when, I (more often than not) get a discount.
