Mounjaro Website

Apologies if this isn't appropriate for this forum.

My GP has currently prescribed me mounjaro for Type 2 diabetes, but has said the prescription will finish once the diabetes is under control, so I'm thinking of buying it privately to try and keep the weight loss going.

On a Radio 4 podcast someone suggested using www.monj.co.uk to buy Mounjaro privately and I was wondering if anyone has experience of using this website ?

Thanks

Steve

Are you aware that this website says:

"Monj is the no.1 UK Safe List of legitimate pharmacies that prescribe weight loss treatments. We do not sell any products; we simply index a selection of licensed pharmacies. Our price comparison tool exclusively links to government-approved GPhC pharmacies. This free service is available to anyone over the age of 18, offering valuable information for making informed decisions."

    Hi,

Yes, I did see that, but as I've never used it before I was just wondering if people got on ok when they'd used it.

    Thanks

Surely it's the actual pharmacy that you'd (maybe) be buying from that you need feedback on.

    Not a comparison website.

The website simply list the cheapest places to buy Mounjaro (with and without available discounts), you would then choose the pharmacy/provider that you want to use and then visit their website to place your order. These are all licensed pharmacies where you would need to go through an online screening process, normally involving answering questions around your medical history, you would then need to provide copies of your ID and potetially pictures of prescriptions or similar.

I take Mounjaro for weight loss and use the Monj website to find out which pharmacy will be cheapest to buy from. I have switched pharmacy for each order to benefit from the introductory offers, others will choose to remain loyal and avoid having to do a new screening process each time.

It's just a comparison site to show you were you can get it at the biggest discount, you can then go to that pharmacy to buy it, I use it all the time so each month I change pharmacies to buy it at the cheapest on offer price

    OK, thanks for your help.

  • hi “yarmy”! I am a very frequent user of the website Monj and can tell you that it is absolutely brilliant. It’s saved me hundreds of pounds. It’s great for price comparison but also for so much information on providers and what is going on in the world of the GLP-1! And I do know, they do only list legit and trusted pharmacies on there - you can check their GPhC number as well as their trust pilot rating too to help you! Good luck on your journey :)

As others have said Monj is just a comparison site. However I would just add that if a provider is not on that list then they are NOT a legitimate provider. Do not be tempted to buy from a supplier not on that list and I would even go so far to say as to use the links from that web site to get to the provider you want to use, just to be 100% sure you're not going to a fake site. Your life isn't a price to pay for a bargain.

    Hi,

Just a quick update on this. I saw the diabetic nurse a couple of weeks back. They're happy with my blood sugar levels. She said that the current NHS guidance is to keep people on Mounjaro as they found that when people came off it their blood sugar levels started to creep up again. The only thing they couldn't do is give me a stronger dose (I'm currently on 5mg). I'm happy to stay on it for the time being as it's also helping a lot with my weight loss - I've lost 40lbs so far, but still have a fair bit to lose.
