Nectar Points not getting credited to account.
Nectar works with various partners. In fact there are over 500 of them. Ebay is one of them.
I buy off eBay regularly. To those who are unaware, you have to go through the Nectar using the app or the website where it directs you to the partner, (eBay). You make your purchase and then the next day you get an email notifying you that your purchase is successful, the date of the purchase, the amount paid and the number of Nectar Points that are pending approval. They state it can take up to 10 days but usually the points are in your account in less.
You receive a second email informing you of approval - this is a formality. All pending points are eventually credited. I have never had any declined.
You normally get 2x points per £1 spent, but every now and then a deal comes on where you can earn 4x per £1.
I placed several orders before Christmas. The 3 December (2025) to be precise. There were 8 orders and the confirmation emails arrived for each order the next day. There was a 4x deal running on that time and the total number of nectar Points due to me were 604. Not an unsubstantial amount.
I am still waiting for these points to be credited at the time of writing, (29 January).
I have contacted Nectar on 6 occasions, including 1 "chat" and 5 subsequent phone calls. All I keep getting told is that the case has been escalated, eBay has been contacted and they are awaiting a response. But the case was escalated on 19 January and it would seem that eBay is either inundated with the problems of the same nature or they are totally ignoring them, or they haven't contacted them at all.
The first agent that I spoke to on the phone admitted that the points were well over due and that it would seem that there was a glitch on either Nectar's system or eBay's. Actually he was quite sympathetic. A later call with a different agent, when I mentioned this, out and denied there was a glitch.
There was obviously some sort of glitch because it only affected the orders that I'd made on 3 December. All preceding and succeeding orders are fulfilled.
I have sent a letter of complaint to their London Head Office (33 Charterhouse Street) and several emails to various nectar addresses, including helpline@nectar.com. I haven't as much as automated acknowledgement for either.
What do I do?
You cannot help getting frustrated when attempting to reason with these guys when they keep telling you the same old story every time you talk to them. I just feel that they are not giving any priority to this at all.

I had an issue a while ago, my Nectar account had become dormant as I'd been away a while, all the linked companies had dropped off due to inactivity and I had to reactivate the account and link all the third party companies again.

Ever since they dropped the direct Ebay - Nectar accounts link I haven't bothered. Exactly the same with the Lloyds - Ebay cashback going through the links simply doesn't work.

I gave up with Ebay / Nectar when the system changed….to going in via Nectar. If I buy anything from Ebay it is now always via Complete Savings. (10+% nets down to around 8%). Works great!

I'm up to 8 calls now and nearing the end of my tether.
Phoned eBay who are totally unaware of any relationship between them and Nectar. I just keep getting the mantra that they severed ties on 1 September 2024.
It seems that only Nectar are aware.
So how does it work?
When you purchase on eBay having accessed eBay via the link in the Nectar app, how does that purchase information get to Nectar? eBay cannot issue points, so Nectar can only go on what you've spent, but eBay have to provide that spending information.
Is it sent by request, or is it automatic?
Whatever way it's done, eBay are blissfully unaware it's happening evidently.
Nectar seems also to be reluctant to explain the transactional procedure which would probably help when contacting either "partner".
