Removal from assessment
Completed the necessary form and received the email from HMRC to say request has been submitted and they will confirm if successful in writing. SA deadline approaches and I've not heard anything. Should I be worried?

You’ve done the right thing. HMRC often take weeks to confirm removal from SA, especially near the deadline. As long as you’ve submitted the form and have the confirmation email, you’re covered. Keep the email as evidence — you won’t be penalised for waiting on their written confirmation.

Thanks for the reassurance. After 10 years of SA submissions I didn't want my first fine when back to PAYE only.
