Competition providers not giving out the prize

I really don't think it's the fact that it's in America - it's just the person who seemingly needs to issue the voucher is based there - it is a voucher for use on their website, which is shipped from England. I think my last message was a bit misleading so sorry about that. They just seem absolutely incompetent to be honest which is surprising for a company like fitflop!

I won Blue Monday comp on Lily O'Brien which ended 19th January, there were 5 winners in total
They asked for my address which I gave, 3 weeks later sent a message as not recieved and was told allow 28 days.
2 weeks after that sent another reminder and they appologised and said would be sent out in a couple of days
Still not recieved it
Thanks to all who post comps

This is my thoughts with many of the competitions. They are jusyt after clicks and newsletter signups. Think a lot of the comps, especially instagram ones are just scams

Ive always been curious about 2 things with these competitions.
Firstly, if you dont click the box to say ' im happy to receive lots of your spam emails' , do you think that really affects you winning ?
Secondly, if you can enter by phone, email and postal - how do they choose the winner? The only way I can think if fair is they would have to somehow print out, or enter electronically enter, all the entries and then pick one. But I cant see them doing that?

If a site is legit taking marketing info makes no difference.
From over 10 years ago (ofcom site) so the tool may have changed but the same principals will apply
ITV operates an independently developed winner selector tool under licence from a third party. This is known as inner Selector’ and is a market leading solution used for managing manycompetitions across the UK. The Winner Selector works by taking in all entries to a competitionfrom each entry route, and assigning a unique random number to every entry. This is doneindependently of the original entry method, and assures that each entry has the same chance ofbeing selected, irrespective of the method of entry.2
