new dental charges

hope this is right forum.
i understand new nhs dental charges reform starting in april.
i have googled and looked through the statements , but they are a bit confusing .

usually dental charges increase in april, but gov website states that there will be a saving of around £225 in fees.

can any dental experts shed any light on this, i have an upcoming appointment in february and considering changing to a later date.
Nice to save.

There was a consultation on changing the structure of fees for patients, so those needing several appointments for  different (more complex?) issues  pay one set of fees... That's where the £225 comes from

I presume this would need some sort of legislative change?  Edit - the overview indicates this would happen from (after) April 2026 - so OP I'd carry on with your existing appointments.
