Finished the month ever so slightly under at £199.02/£200. What jivjules1 said really resonated with me. I haven't done a full shop so far this year. I've been making a real effort to eat out of the freezer so haven't really bought any meat or fish. What I have been doing, which I feel is a mistake, is just popping to the newly opened and very close by supermarket almost daily. I mostly just buy milk, bread, fruit and veg but inevitably I pick other things up (including wine). I don't think I've really noticed how all much this is costing because its only small amounts each time I go. I'm going to try and cut down on the number of trips to the shop next month because I am getting close to having to buy some meat as I can't bear any more turkey or lamb which is all that is left.

Declaring £308.17. Slightly over but the amount of food we have in is silly. Really need to eat out of the freezer and cupboards to make room for any Easter bargains.
£664.24/£3600 (yearly budget).
See you over in March.

I ended up slightly over at the end of the month £452.52, £7.52 over my £445.00 budget, but it could have been worse and it has been in the past 🙂

Ah thank you @determined_new_ms - we had a lovely pub lunch with really good food. I do like achieving an underspend on my budget after years and years of unfettered spending on groceries and ridiculous amounts of wasted food. This thread and everyone on it keeps me motivated.

Had quite a few spends since last here. Mainly Ald! shops, and a few small Co-@p, and W@itrose. Oh and from my own stores I've cracked open the last 12 box of toilet rolls. So will have to account for that in next months budget (will have to up it a tad I think)
So, I'm already £20 odd pound over and got until the 12th to go, so about another week!!
Managed to do one small grocery trip since my DD2 has been away, and she's back tomorrow. Also, looking at what was in when she left and whats in now, haven't really consumed that much!
Off to update signature etc 🙃

Ended up wayyyy over budget this month, not even close. Going to sneak off into the March thread and hope to do better this month!

I've spent £272 on groceries and a meal out for family this month. I'm currently staying with a family member who had an unexpected hospital stay, so everything is a little off kilter.

Spoke too soon, another few spends. Some things mostly for DD2 to take to work and for in the house (she's a grazer).
Ald! - needed face cream, frozen spinach, sourdough bread, crackers, corncakes, crisps, bananas, avocados, vegan cheese, strawberry crisp cereal (she likes this with yoghurt). I can't remember if that was everything.
In home bargains I got a YS loaf aswell as a 5kg of bath salts for myself.
Then the C@-op, coriander which I forgot to get in the other shops, and YS burger buns.
Hopefully, that's it until my new GC starts on the 13th 🤞🏻
