Last shop of month for me on Wednesday and reverting back to aldi as only £90 left so must not go over that. @PipneyJane last time we made an effort to go to butchers we spent over £100 unfortunately it was nearly over £1000 before hubby put his card in their reader he said you have put decimal point in wrong place Luckily he has 20/20 vision I would never had spotted it, it seemed a genuine error but put me off making the extra effort to go to butchers ever since.

Finding it hard this month, it’s busy with DS1 in hospital 45 miles away and we keep buying him snacks which he probably doesn’t need but we feel bring a little bit of joy. I’m pleased I’m keeping up with keeping a track on it at least it’s easy to press the f*** it button this thread helps!
16.13 spent yesterday by hubby snacks for DS, quorn sausages and pitta bread. Aiming for no spend next couple of days! Could still make budget I have a £50 Morrisons voucher I could use if needed

Wow @thriftwizard, 100, happy birthday to your mum. We are going to a surprise party for our neighbour on Saturday for her 90th, a great milestone. She still drives long distances.

£211.07 spent - a bit ahead of where I want to be, but I have been out a couple of times and the cappuccino habit crept back in while the weather was so miserable too.

we stopped at L'ls on our way back from swimming and despite being hungry we didn't stray from our list. Lots of lovely fruit and veggies, some meat, milk and a few bits and bobs including dark chocolate.
Since watching What Not to Eat we have made a few adjustments to our meals and lots of changes to our snacking and treats. I think I was aware of most of what the programmes were explaining but somehow we have shifted and are shifting our habits. Our budget is holding up well to the changes too which is another thing the programmes were keen to point out.
£45 spent today leaving £145.63 remaining.

Morning all l have several spends to declare for last minute pre holiday shopping. Did include some bramley apple and pork sausages and thick cut bacon for breakfast wraps for the airport. Also brought ingredients for chicken salad cobs, again for the journey experience, has taught me it's better to have too much than not enough. Particularly where tired children are concerned. Total spent £44.47.
We are back before the month ends and a big shop will be needed but I think I'm going to declare now and top up March's budget instead.
See you on the March thread 👋

Needed few bits as I'm working from home for the rest of the week, so bread, ham, some fresh fruit, spread. Not much as all my dinners/lunches are sorted for the week. Should be my last update before Friday when my next budget starts. See you all soon in March thread! xx
