@goldfinches thank you for your kind words.
Suprised by DD visiting and deciding a Sunday roast would be nice, also bought a dine in meal deal for valentines but will save on going out. Also had a bottle of wine which isn’t great for my AF challenge on another group! Total was 71.31 Still time to stay in budget there is lots of the roast left!

It's all gone pear-shaped again here! DD1 has installed herself for a few days whilst her fiancé's up north for a conference. This is likely to be the last time as she's now found a job down west & starts next week, so not begrudged - it's lovely to have her here - but needless to say the budget has taken a bit of a hit! £32.98 spent at W8rose this morning. Admittedly some of this is supplies for baking for my mother's 100th birthday party next weekend, but I know now I'm going to go over budget this month, as I haven't yet done the non-perishables trip. Ah well! I'll keep tabs & see how little I can go over by instead… sigh!

a trip to MrL today with a carefully curated shopping list which we mostly stuck to except we bought some new clothes pegs. Why am I so excited to have some pretty clothes pegs? I was aiming for £50 and it came to £52 because my bank automatically rounds up all spends. It's a nice little amount at the end of each month. We claimed a free Belgium bun, a free bag of mini cookies (for the grandkids next week) and a free pack of cocktail tomatoes.
