Claiming free nursery hours for next tax year when ineligible this year

Hello! First time posting here... We have an 22 month year old in nursery and we are ineligible for free hours as over £100k. However next year, I am going on mat leave so we "should" get the funding when the new tax year starts in April. But when you fill out the UK Gov form online it asked if you are earning too much THIS tax year and then doesn’t let you proceed. After reading a few posts, this suggests that I won’t be able to get the discount until September, losing out on 6 months of the year.Has anyone found a way around this please...?
