Solar panels Spam call National/local energy support trusted homes

Thought I'd post this here with today's spam call, it nearly caught me out so possibly others will benefit.
I don't usually answer unknown numbers, but this English speaking man called and knew my name, number and home address. At first I thought it was a courtesy call from my installer. He rambled on and said a colleague of his will call me back as I could have free funding for my panels. He seemed keen on the fact I had a smart meter
His colleague Howard called back within 30 mins. I quizzed his company name National/local energy support trusted homes. It changed from Local to National once I said I couldn't find it on google when I asked why he doesn't have a website they hung up.
They said they got my details off a national database but couldn't say where. They seemed keen I had a smart meter, they had I had 16 panels not 6 down. And said I was wrong because the database is from the manufacturers and I had my panels for over 10 years which I had mine for 2 years.
Really not sure what they was getting out of this. But maybe others have had a similar call or experience. I didn't give them any more details than what they had, but I guess I confirmed that the information they did have was correct.
Both lads were very good English and I'd say they was from this country.
