I am the beneficiary of an estate and the executor is refusing to supply me with any of the estate accounts. Does anyone know what my rights are to see the estate accounts?

I am not sure of the answer. But I do know that most solicitors will give you the first 1/2 hr advice free, It would be worth talking to one. My father became an executor of a will last month, it was a real headache as all the benifactors were arguing and complaining. He just told them to get lost until after the will went to probate, seems as though he could do that according to the solicitor.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

Once probate is granted it is a matter for public record and you can get a copy of the will and probate forms, which will tell you everything. If the executor or administrator has done anything you think is dodgy you could have grounds for a claim. Running up expences or disposing of assetts for less than market value are the sort of things I'm talking about.
Look at it from the other point of view though. When I was administrator of my fathers estate I had four months of moaning from my brother about how long it would take, how much it would be, etc, when I simply didn't know all the details. The executor in your case may simply be cautious to commit to anything or be fed up with everyone questioning them.
If probate has been granted get the paperwork. If not you simply need to wait.
