Came to light a loan had been taken out in husbands name as part of goods interception fraud..requested rar under dpa and what kyc checks they do and their processes....all they seem interested in is retailler, affordable golf picking up goods. They have failed to arrange this. V12 have only said the loan was isssued on name, dob and address and a natwest account they can see is someone elses! Reported to fina cial ombudsman and waiting till 30 days to go to ico ..anyone else had similar with either of these companies?

Which two companies? The retailer (who) and the loan company (who)?
What does "affordable golf picking up goods" mean?
Have you reported the fraud to the police?0 -
Yes reported to police and action fraud. V12 dont answer requested info and keep insisting goods need returning. Affordable golf stated verbally a pick up date and no one turned up. In email corrrespondance they have lied and said attempted several times.....hubby works from home. No kne has been..regardless the issue is proper checks not being done allowing a fraudulent loan to be taken out0

If the account is not your husbands, Then Under GDPR V12 are not allowed to provide any details to you. As it is not your account.Life in the slow lane0

Right.
Affordable Golf is a retailer.
V12 (V12 Retail Finance) is a loan company.
Anything else here is still rather vague, someone has bought some goods online, applied for and got finance using your husband's details, and then not collected the goods?
Or you have had some goods delivered that you didn't order and Affordable Golf are unable or unwilling to have them returned?
Who has the loan cash?
Who has the goods?0 -
Most loans are made on the basis of name, date of birth and address. This is what is used to match you to your credit file.Mims100 said:Came to light a loan had been taken out in husbands name as part of goods interception fraud..requested rar under dpa and what kyc checks they do and their processes....all they seem interested in is retailler, affordable golf picking up goods. The Natwest account isn't relevant, it's presumably the account that would be set up to pay the loan off. There's no requirement that that be the account of the person taking out the loan, and it's not indicative of fraud. If I were to commit fraud I'd probably just use one of the victims bank accounts, rather than go to the trouble of finding another one. It's not like you need to authorise the set up of a DD via your banking app and notifications of a new DD setup notifications are sent by the originator, by letter, anyway.0
