Any good? I know some people might run a mile because its a Via, but having checked out the spec for both CPU and chip-set it doesn't read too bad. I'm sure there are more PC savvy people out there who can shed some light..... Was thinking of getting one to replace my desktop....

At £235 inc VAT (not sure about delivery) its about the same price as the Dell Vostro bargain that was posted here a few days ago. The Dell is much more of a known quantity too. I'm not a CPU snob but I would stick with Intel or AMD. Of course, 10-15 years ago AMD were in the same postion as VIA with their CPUs. Maybe in a few years VIA will be serious competitors but others have tried and failed.0

I'd go for the dell, 40GB hard drive on this is low, as is the RAM, and if you want vista this has xp, and an upgrade with those specs would be a nightmare0

Personally, i wouldn't touch a VIA chip
Wait a bit for another super dell or equivalent offer0
