When I was single I'd do one load a week.
After marriage and once both kids school age it was three to four loads a week.
With the kids away at Uni it's two loads a week.
Throughout all that, it's been about one load per person per week.

Single person here, weekly washing list below
Sheets, towels, gym towels, jeans, white cotton, mixed cotton, white manmade, mixed manmade.
    Monthly
Kitchen towels and oven gloves, shower mats, as both take a month to get a full load change every week for mat and kitchen towels and oven gloves as needed.
On top of that extra sheet changes in my spare room if someone visits.
So on average ten loads a week, does not bother me in the slightest, a minute or two at most to load, maybe give to hang it up to dry and another five to put it away.
    10 loads a week?!
Yes, that is what I clearly detailed in my post.

We air things out so there's less need to wash.  That included folding the duvet down to the baseboard so the sheets and mattress air.  Our aim then is to wash the fitted sheet every other week and the duvet once a month.

Towels every 3 - 4 weeks.  Kitchen towels every other week or so.  And the rest for 2 retired and slow moving adults is 2 - 3 loads a week.  Mostly that's determined by how quickly one load will dry which this time of year is at least 2 days.  Summer time I can do 3 or 4 loads in a day and the first is hung outside and is dry by the time the next load is ready to put out.

The Levi's CEO said that you should never wash your jeans.

Some people would wash them after every use.

There may be different situation with underwear etc. but it will vary among people between daily and never.

So it depends on many factors, what's your level of comfort, how dirty your clothes get, how many clothes you own etc.

Saying that we run 1-2 washes a week when there's enough to fill washing machine of dark/light coloured.

When there is there is enough to fill the machine up, or I run out of knickers, whichever comes first.  That works out at roughly three times a fortnight.  My gym and cycling gear get washed more often than everyday clothing but even they will be worn more than once unless it’s a particularly sweaty workout or strenuous ride. I take the view that as long as you keep yourself and your underwear clean, the rest of the stuff can be worn several times.  I don’t bother sorting light and dark - it all goes in together.

We run the machine 6 times a week. Not always full loads. There are two of us and I have sports kit (swimming and gym wear). We also have a dog. We find smaller loads are easier to get dry (using a heated airer) at this time of year.
