HI
Im currently in £29000 (see below) of debt and have been with a debt management company for the past year and i have realised that from the £150 a month I pay them only £105 is going ot my creditors. I called them a few days ago and told them i wanted to end the agreement.
Loan - £17000
Card - £3500
Card - £2800
Card - £4000
Overdraft - £900
Card - £900
Does anybody know if i called the creditors myself would they help me with a proposal plan i have put together, i thought I mught aswell be paying the creditors the extra money instead of paying the fee to the management company. I have also changed jobs a couple of months ago got an increase in salary and could offer the creditors double what they were getting paid from the debt management company. Could I do this, is this the best way to go for me??? HELP x

Hiya, you CAN do a DMP (debt management plan) yourself, but the lenders seem to pay more attention if you go through one of the debt charities - the CCCS or Payplan.
Unlike the other debt management companies, they are not out to make a profit from you and will give you advice and negotiate with creditors on your behalf."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
