Termination of employment

I'm not too sure of how to go about this, I was wondering if I could have advice on how to ask my employer for the reason of my termination as he hasn't stated it in the email like he did in person. (Reason being due to budget cuts and unable to afford paying me on my 12 hour contract)
I've worked at the location since late September to early October 2022, I was given word of my termination on Sunday this week just gone and believe I may be entitled to reasoning within my termination email.
This is what he gave me in the image attached to this post
I have taken the liberty of blurring names and locations to keep this anonymous. As you can see no reason was given.

I would reply to the email stating something along the lines of
Thank you for your email. As per our conversation it is with great sadness to receive the news that the business can no longer afford to keep me on my 12 hour contract. I’ve enjoyed my time with “Coffee Shop” over the last 3 years and 3 months. Please can you confirm if my 3 weeks statutory redundancy payment will be paid in my final payslip. Kind regards Oblivions_Eve4 -
Did you mean 3 years?
They can't just sack you because they're skint. They need to make you redundant. They have to pay that!
That's up to £719 (or your weekly pay if less) for every year you've been there.
If you'd worked for them for less than 2 years, they can just let you go.
EDIT: What JJG said above.1 -
Is the Managing Director an approachable bloke? Don't see why he couldn't be asked to resend that Termination email adding the reason for termination that you've stated.0

He's not approachable as he doesn't like me, he treats me differently to the other staff members and he acted that way towards me as soon as he took over the companyflaneurs_lobster said:Is the Managing Director an approachable bloke? In which case it's best to send the email as above about your redundancy pay (as you've worked there over 2 years so they can't just let you go) and hopefully they have the sense to pay it.Oblivions_Eve said:

The reasoning in writing doesn't matter - they're making you redundant as they're struggling financially. If that's not true and they're just getting rid of you because they don't like you then that's another matter, but irrelevant for now. You can just tell any future employer you were made redundant.
You might want to delete the logo shown above as it makes it completely identifiable where you work as it's an independent coffee show with only one location.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)3 -
And @JJG might like to remove the name from their post - though it is not so identifiable to the outside world.pinkshoes said:
