Blanket that's not wool or fleece?

We have a 4ish tog wool duvet but I get cold at night. I am however menopausal and have found putting wool or fleece on top makes me too hot. Have also tried chenille and similar.
My brain is blank, what other types of blanket could I try? Bonus if they don't have tassels on and even better if are cheap.
Thank you

Silk is the other option, but that's going to be ££££0

I use a crocheted blanket that I made myself using just the triple crochet stitch (called double crochet here).0

oh @weenancyinAmerica if only I could crochet myself one, every now and again I buy myself yarn and needles but I just haven't picked it up well. It's currently behind the christmas tree so will try again next year!
@Emmia is only my budget would stretch to silk. I'll look out for cotton though, didn't occur to me you could get it despite new having a cotton throw we use instead of a duvet in summer!
Found an old, thin, flat pile fleece blanket and used that last night which was better. Though still hot as couldn't have the windows open as neighbour's cat is on heat and yowling all hours:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20171 -
The other option, is to not have a double duvet. Have two singles on the same bed which can then be different tog levels.
You will need new duvet covers though.1 -
I have been lobbying for that for years, DH thinks it's the beginning of the end however!:eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20170

My DH loves it when we're in Germany or Austria and says it's wonderful but when I suggest it when we get home he looks horrified at the thought.
