Sorry to hear your daughter's diagnosis; I hope it all gets treated easily.

Thanks all,
It was a shock yesterday and left today so currently still processing x

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x16 -
Oh how sudden. Be kind to yourself and take time to take stock x

@willowtree222 sorry to hear such a shock and sudden. As others have said please take care of yourself.
15 -
@Willowtree222 that’s awful, was it a shock or did you know it was coming. I’m so sorry. Hopefully there will be a goodly amount of financial cushioning to soften the blow.
Ooh it’s been a day today. Did washing yesterday to go out this morning but was raining.
Decluttered quite a lot of emails, seem to have accrued a zillion from Royal Mail.
Sold on both eBay and Vinted, thank you buyers. All packed so packaging Decluttered too. Listed more this afternoon.
Dinner was freezer for us both.
CS were booked to collect this afternoon so, last night, I moved all the bags to the sitting room - nearer the front door. They rang mid afternoon, running way too late so can’t collect until next week! So I had to move it all back to the kitchen grrr. Never mind, gives me time to add to it.
DH went to go downstairs this morning but the stairlift refused to work. Thankfully, the lovely repair man was on the island today so he came within a couple of hours and fixed it again.
@Florenceem, what a blast from the past those curtains are. That was such a popular pattern in the 1970s I recall. We may have even had that exact pattern in one of the bedrooms, I’m fairly sure.
@MrsSD, nice to see you’re home safe and sound.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

Yorkie1 - Apparently she was put on the 2 week pathway and saw a Dr but then there was a waiting list. I don't know why she didn't use her personal private insurance.
suzeesu2000 - I was so pleased to find the curtains in my stash - in lovely condition too. I think we all had similar patterns in the 1970s.
Spoke to my son tonight - dil had her first face to face PTSD counselling.
I have ordered some feather cushion inserts as I searched in my stash and found the lovely fabrics I bought some time ago. I will work on cushion covers tomorrow.
I am hoping young J will be here tomorrow to paint around the front door and in the porch.
I cooked my first dinner at home tonight. HM egg & bacon pie - FF + hash browns and plenty of salad.

I wrote this, this morning, no idea why I didn't post it. I think it may be still relevant.
Willowtree, I am sorry to hear about your work, here's hoping you find something else soon.
Grannykate, the best laid plans eh? Hope you have water back soon.
It sound like you had another lovely trip Mrs SD. I agree it is feeling colder. I am trying to see if we can last until October before we have the heating on.
I am with you on not keeping stuff in the loft. If it's up there for years on end and no one needed it, does it need to be kept at all? I had to empty my Mothers loft when her house was sold. She was 90 at the time, it was physically difficult for us and everything went to the tip. I am not sentimental and if I don't use it or love it I question if I need to keep it. I did take photos of some things that went. None of my relatives live near me, they all work. When we pop our clogs I want them to be able to clear the house in a day or two. It took weeks of working every day to empty my Mother's 3 bed house. Luckily we are retired and local but it was still a very big ask.
Tricky with the trophies though 2Scratters.
The weather here is too wet for gardening this week so I have been chipping away at little frogs. I went through every room and made a snag list. Mirrors and pictures put up, paint touched up, hooks put up, rawl plugs removed and holes filled etc. DSS came and put the bunk beds up. They quite fill the room but future proof the work I need to do to accommodate visitors.
Today I will get my sewing machine out and make a start on DGD2's quilt. It is a machine quilt and I only sew in short stints. I much prefer hand sewing. No chance of me hand sewing another quilt for DS's house. I hand sewed a very intricate quilt for DIL which took months. It's a cat bed now.🤣 I am also churning out lap blankets which I think are going to the Ukraine via Happy Kitties. I was given someones wool stash. I am getting through it and might have to think about actually buying some soon! just to add, the top of the quilt is done. I will do a bit more tomorrow.
I love to hear about all your activities. It quite spurs me on, thank you for sharing.
I am sorry to hear about your daughter Florenceem.xx
Not much decluttering happening here, some more weight, I was slimmer of the week and given a bag of food! Socks all seem to be coming in holes at the same time. Good they are ancient and don't owe us a penny.

Feel very unproductive and realise that when I have a proper list it helps me so going to make a list for tomorrow.
Bought 2x packs of 3 socks to replace the one pair I decluttered when away knowing a couple more are about to become threadbare but still more coming in than going out. Insight into how things have.got as they have , incrementally more brought in than went out.
Broken prescription sunglasses, Packaging x 3 and some paper.

@Willowtree - sorry to hear about the job.
@vulpix - weird to find ourselves saying 'too wet for gardening this week' after the summer we have had.
Water back on fully mid afternoon - no building work done as plaster has to be finished. Hopefully this can be sorted today. I am going to try and tidy and sort bedrooms today. DS1 is coming tomorrow just for the day - I haven't seen him for months and I know he has been having a difficult time. I am going to pop down and pick children up from DS2s to take them to school but they can walk home. I will try and take some bits to the tip today and I'll get something for a meal tomorrow. Just realised I need to renew membership that has expired - it doesn't renew like other things (a family history site). Meeting yesterday was cancelled as venue had no water and I had children here anyway. Circumstances meant I have missed four meetings this week. Two meetings and lunch out booked in next week - lets hope I have more luck.
I was surprised heating had not crept on early some mornings but then I realised thermostat had lost its connection to boiler at some point. Easily fixed by taking batteries out and putting them in again. I was surprised that worked as previous boiler and thermostat were much more difficult to reconnect.
Right I must get dressed to do school run. I will attempt to actually stop doing them as planned.

Thursday: it rained overnight but now bright & breezy with a high of 20°C, low of 14°C & a W wind making it feel 2° cooler. I wrote a medium sized shopping list as DH & DSis were going shopping. I have done a quick rearrangement of the kitchen freezer contents so I can see what’s what - there is a small amount of wiggle room now 😮💨 We will be making soups starting next week so will be using up lots of leftovers & gradually reducing the contents of both freezers so that I can eventually defrost them one at a time. All shopping portioned & put away immediately. Dinner will be cottage pie with green beans. Very tasty it was too 🤤 Wudupa

suzeesu2000, lovely offer to Soontobeoap ☺️ Excellent decluttering especially breaking up & dismantling the large wardrobe 👏 A medal 🏅🏅for each of you. Very sorry to hear about all the injuries you have sustained especially the damaged wrist😔 Please take time to recover & treat all the scrapes & cuts 🙏
GrannyKate, sorry to hear that DGS4 has been poorly 😞 although pleased to hear that he is recovering well under your care 😊 Hopefully the building & decorating work won’t take too long 🤞although I imagine Sox will miss supervising & being fussed over 🙊 Good luck with the remaining digital frogs 🍀
EnergyShifter, enjoy your weekend off ☺️ Hopefully you will find some time to pamper yourself & not be working/decluttering in the house/garden 🤞
Florenceem, sending many gentle cwtches to you & your family 🤗 Such a tragic situation 🥺
TC77, you might not have got the cleaning & tidying done but excellent work sorting so many frogs dealt with 👏 Thanks for the heads up about CSs not taking donations. I will hopefully remember to phone first rather than just turning up on the off chance.
Lovely to see you 2Scratters 👋 Great news that the kitchen is almost done & you have been tidying/decluttering despite the upheaval 👏 Sorry to hear that your DH’s health is causing concern 🥺 Sending healing vibes & hoping that he listens to you & deals with the admin rather than actions 🙏 Excellent decluttering of items from your parents house & also from your loft 👏 As you have both been so busy, I am awarding you each a Gold Star ⭐️ ⭐️ please accept some 💐 for helping your neighbour ☺️
Brie, BBQ steaks sound delicious 😋
Soontobeoap, enjoy your time away 🥹
One day caught up 😉 Sleep tight 😴
