@Florenceem I suffered a great deal with travel sickness as a child. Someone suggested sitting on a newspaper whilst travelling which seemed bonkers but I tried it and it cured me. Something to do with it creating a barrier between you and the seat to reduce the vibrations of the vehicle.

Sending kind thoughts, hugs and extra energy to anyone in need..💗
It’s been a while since I posted.. too many plates to juggle and not enough hands at the moment!
We have however managed to attack part of the shed/garage.. 🫨
Lots changed including all new electrics.. organised all our tools and then did a tip trip with the car bursting at its rivets with heaps of card, old bits of stuff and broken bits (also took stuff for the neighbours) scarily it’s only one side completed so far.. 😵💫 We have also made a large pile to do a car boot with at the end of the month.
Waiting on delivery of a lockable metal cupboard, that’s to help organise the other side 🤞🏼🤣
No real mojo today but have found 4 further items for the car boot pile and I shall continue with this daily.
We’ve agreed anything that doesn’t sell is charity bound as it’s not coming back in the house.."There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

Goodness, life is kicking up so much for so many of you to deal with. Here's to things calming down plus physical, mental and emotional healing for all.
Things moving on apace here. I have a buyer for my current home, survey has been done on new home and have started letting friends know my plans.
Loft has been emptied (luckily not much in there), old accounts papers are being quickly checked through and shredded and a couple of items had a quick decision of the 'that can go' variety.
DSis took a box of kitchen items away - all things asked for - and will take some towels when I have sorted through them.
Neighbour is currently cleaning my car - not sure how I got away with that one, but very, very grateful as usual valeter can't do until end of June!

Good morning campers. Still lots of necessary decluttering and essential cluttering up going on which is always great to read about 🤗.
I was up at 4.30am with babyface who needed the loo and an iron snack whilst I put the lawn sprinklers on for 30 minutes as I'm re-seeding and feeding a couple of patches; there's been absolutely no rain other than the hour on Friday night 🤔, and left the hosepipe running over the roots of the Wysteria for 15 minutes before giving it a much needed feed and another 15 minute hosepipe rewater - All done and dusted by 5.30am. Other than that, I've done very little except go back to bed and finally clutter up on a couple of hours sleep before managing to have a shower, get dressed, type and print up an important letter; which I decluttered by hand, put a load of washing out on the lines, and take babyface for a short(ish) walk. It's exceedinly overcast this morning but babyface still wanted to sit on her swing chair looking at me with the frustrated look of "Well come on, switch the sun on mum" 😂🤣 - There's not a day go by without she makes me laugh several times with her curiosity, stubborness, and crazies 😂. A neighbour is going to Mega Plants this afternoon and asked if I would like to go which I politely declined; this time, as I really need to rest again today and I'm feeling exceedingly tired anyway 😴😔.
Presently cluttering up on coffee whilst trying to keep awake 😂🤣 with babyface snoring and grunting in her bed in the office, which really isn't helping 🤗😋. Okay, I've given in and back off to bed we go 😂😴😴.
Wishing everyone a lovely day. Take care all, hugs to those who would like one. Ta-ta for now xxxxx

Moorviews, you are very perceptive about resisting a walker. I would say I have put it off at least 5 years. It's hard to admit to yourself that you need some help. I still will only use it where I think nobody knows me. Caught out by my cousin the other week in a sains miles from home! It's hard to admit I am turning into my Mother who can barely move for Arthritis
Pleased to hear you are feeling somewhat better Happy Kitties, gave you a wave on the way past the other day.
Exciting times Oceanspirit.
I have woken up to 6 plastic garden chairs and a big plastic table gone. We left them out on the pavement with a "free" sign.I am trying to do some bits in the back garden to help the clearing the decks job along. The very big garden pots were collected. Too modern for my taste.
DD2 has gone to get a bus back to Nottingham. She had 2 driving lessons and gave up. No need to drive really if you live in a city.
DD1 on her way here to see her Grandma and wants us to go to an antiques centre in a mill. Groan. The thought of all the stairs to get in the place. I will go as if I keep refusing invitations ,people will stop asking. All I actually want to do is sit and knit today with a bit of pottering about. That's another thing, not only do I find it difficult to accept I can't do stuff, people who know me think I can do what I used to, which was a lot!
All 3 beds striped for washing. I was hoping to get some of our bedroom furniture painted in the paint I had colour matched to the wardrobes. No rush i suppose.
We have booked a holiday next month with DS and his family in a lodge in South Wales. We went last year and the year before. It reminds me very much of the peak District but much quieter.
We are going down to Oxfordshire on Wednesday to see the Grandchildren. I am saving little boxes, I promised DGS1 we would build a robot.
Better get a wriggle on Vx

Mrs SD - so near and yet so far. You were in Ramsgate when I was out of town!
regnbue - that is something I hadn't heard about - will try it when I next have a car journey.
Re the talk about walkers - Mr F accepted walking with a stick. However using a wheeled walker when out took some persuading. He was okay with using a zimmer in the house and the installed bars on the stairs were a great help. I am leaving them in situ as I often use them - I think our stairs were dangerous before the chap fitted them.
As I hadn't taken my tablets until 10.30 - I stayed up until midnight - I had a night with no pain. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning but knew J was coming. I felt very drowsy for a couple of hours.
Builder didn't arrive.
My J put the door furniture back in place and then we made the Ike. unit. J said no instructions booklet in the box - I said well after making 7 of these - we don't need it.
J put tools back in the garden storage crate and sorted out the cardboard boxes for me before he left. We had placed the unit on the right wall of the small ROD but I have moved it to the left. My walls are so out of true - you can't see it so much when the unit is in the new position.
Bestie has said - I ought to have a restful day after yesterday - I will just do a bit upstairs then sit with my knitting and watch You tube on my tv.
Overcast here but dry and not chilly.

Monday is a dull cloudy day with a forecast high of 18°C (feeling 2° cooler due to a NNE wind) & a low of 12°C Not too bad getting up today - 10:10 but feeling very stiff after going from 0 miles as a pillion this year to over 600 miles os a pillion over the course of 3 days 😧 I will do a little cheerleading before I unpack the bags & sort out the washing.
Dizzycap, sorry to hear that you are in so much pain 😣 Great work getting so much done despite the pain 👏 Pleased to hear that Babyface is getting on so well ☺️
Liverpool_Anne, lovely to have you back ☺️ Sorry to hear that you have been overwhelmed with RL & health issues 😔 Hope you have a lovely break in Anglesey & that the weather is kind 😊 I must say you have done some excellent decluttering & your great number of 521 has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 🙂 together with several gentle cwtches 🤗
TC77, hope you have a lovely weekend & that your walk & museum visit will invigorate you ready to tackle frogs & decluttering 🤞
Florenceem, so pleased to hear that you had a pain free Thursday night 😊 Fingers crossed that young J is correct & there is enough paint to finish the feature wall 🤞I hope the weather was kind & that you had a lovely time at Hever Castle with your bestie ☺️
QueenJess, excellent work on ‘Project Use Up’ especially your freezer emptying 👏
Lovely post Brie 😊 Hope you managed to rid the house of OH’s accumulation of cardboard 🤞😊
Lovely cheerleading vulpix ☺️ I do hope you were only supervising all the work that went on 😉 It sounds like everything is coming along very nicely & quickly 👏 Hope you have a lovely time in North Wales with DD1 ☺️
suzeesu2000, I hope you managed to have a very quiet Saturday ☺️
Florenceem, yippee to J having enough paint for the 2nd coat 🥳 J has worked very hard again 👏 I imagine you are looking forward to the decorating being finished & being able to start stocking your craft storage room ☺️ I love your variegated yarn ☺️ & it knits perfectly for fingerless gloves 😊
Lovely cheerleading Moorviews ☺️ Excellent decluttering of your underwear drawer & also well done on decluttering Christmas leftovers from the freezer 👏 I need to join you in sowing some seeds but have nowhere really to put them indoors whilst temperatures drop so low at night ☹️
ionafan, sorry to hear that your DH needed to be released from hospital too early due to pressure on beds 😔 So do please try to carve out a little time for yourself whilst nursing your DH 🥹 I remember how tiring it was looking after my DH & that was 15 years ago when I was a lot younger ☹️
Excellent decluttering Brie 👏 Sorry to hear about the blue tit 😢
Florenceem, a lovely idea to scatter MrF’s ashes at the same time as your bestie scatters her DS’s ashes 🥹 My condolences to your bestie. That new shop sounds wonderful & how serendipitous that you & your bestie both had enough cash to treat yourselves ☺️ How irritating that your paper/card recycling was not collected 😞 We were lucky as our recycling wheelie bin was emptied on Friday after we left - only a day late 🙂
vulpix, thanks for the reminder about who coined the phrase “Declutterati” 👏 You are never boring about house stuff ☺️ I always love hearing about your plans for renovations/upcycling & then following your progress 🥹
Lovely cheerleading Dizzycap ☺️ Very pleased to hear that Babyface is doing so well 🥹 & everything is crossed that your doctor/doctors can get you on the road to recovery 🙏
Oh weenancy 🥺 Very sorry to hear that the medical establishment is letting you down so badly 🥺 Hopefully you won’t be kept waiting for your operation 🙏
I have caught up a little, now only 42 posts behind 😉 I hope everyone is having a good day 😊 See you later 👋

@Happy_Kitties this is a coincidence. I just bought some Happy Kitty Blankets and then opened this chain and the first thing i read was by you. https://happy-kitty-blankets.sumupstore.com/products
I don’t know if they work but i know a couple of cats that might like one.

@vulpix maybe consider the possibility of staving off the worst of the arthritis by using all the support available such as walker etc sooner rather than later?

Car boot sale today. I have never seen such a busy one. I think that the whole Isle of Wight must have been there
Sold lots of bits and pieces and saved so much going to landfill. Also sold a cupboard on Wightbay when we got home. All on all £73. 64 made today and 2 cupboards where I have been storing stuff cleared. Tomorrow if I get time I will clean out and sort bed drawers and bottoms of wardrobes in spare bedroom.
Counting as one until I have finally sorted what came back, as well as done a bit of tidying now that we have more storage.
It's getting a little less like Tetris here!
