Virgin mobile monthly sim just £10 for 300 + 300

If you are a Virgin Media customer, you can get a mobile sim bundle for £10 per month which includes 300 mins and 300 texts if you sign up before the end of January. You do have to pay by direct debit and they do a credit check on you but this seems a really good deal. I have signed up for mine today and the best thing of all is that I can take my current mobile number with me from another network.

I have had 2 of these sims for over a year now, one for me, and one for my 16 year old daughter...so far daughter has never gone over the limit, and spent more than the 300 texts or minutes!! It has saved me a fortune in top ups. Myself... I have 600 minutes and texts roll over every month!!!0

If you fail the credit check they now do a Pay As You Go version. You get the 300mins and texts as long as you top up with £10 each month.0

you can actually get this as a PAYG sim where you top up £10 every month and the free minutes/texts work like a bundle. this means no need for a credit check: you just get sent a sim. if you already have a normal virgin mobile PAYG sim you want to keep you can just ring virgin mobile and they'll set it up for you in a matter of minutes.
the advantage of this, of course, is that you don't need to deal with virgin media, who have the worst customer service imaginable, but instead virgin mobile, who have some of the best customer service around.
according to the virgin mobile customer service people, the price will go up to £20/month after the end of january.
it will cancel any other bundles you have active on your account, but its better value than any of them, so that's OK.
for more discussion of this deal, refer to the thread(s) on the mobile phone forum...0 -
Or how about 150 minutes and 150 texts for free.

You have to be a Virgin Media customer to get it. Its only meant for people that fail the credit check to get it by direct debit as they were having some problems with people failing it despite passing the one to get the rest of their services.0 -

if you are a virgin media customer - cable or adsl - then you can access it from the website. if you are not a virgin media customer, but are a virgin mobile customer, then you can just ring up virgin mobile on 789 and ask them to set it up on your existing sim (or ask them for a new sim = £10), and chances are they'll do it.
for example, my sister just rang up virgin mobile and they sent a new sim with the 300+300 tariff on it out to her in the post without asking for any virgin media details.
similarly, my brother - who is on virgin adsl at a different address - simply ordered it from the website.0
