  • Thanks SVaz. I have a rental property already, and probably like most inherited it when my parents died. Does anyone know if I can transfer it to a ltd company or are there tax implications?

There’s a Woman on youtube who goes into the pros/cons of ltd. Company landlording.
Can’t remember her name sorry but I imagine there are plenty to look at.

I agree with Marcon about professional advice, but you are in a fantastic position thanks to your low outgoings. You already have enough in your pension that it plus the BTL should give you the income you need from 58, with two state pensions as extra jam ten years later.

The inheritance is more than enough to bridge the gap to 58 even if you retired tomorrow.

You can transfer it to a limited company and there certainly are tax implications, as you'd probably expect - but it might still be worth doing, especially if you are considering adding another BTL to your portfolio. One to take advice on - it's not a simple yes/no scenario.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
