AEGON slowness?

Are AEGON worse than others for getting stuff done?

A cash-based transfer to a SIPP is stalled, coupled with some fobbing-off blame-shifting to the receiving party. Frankly, I believe the latter.

Basic admin at AEGON is also tortuously slow. I've seldom been impressed, however they appear to be getting worse.

A previous experience with a cash transfer from different big name was a total breeze in comparison and took less than a third of the time that's already elapsed.

Not the worst but at the wrong end of the scale.

Aegon have multiple arms operating out of different locations.   One of the most common errors is the receiving scheme sending the request to the wrong Aegon.  However, if the right Aegon is used and both ceding and recieving schemes are using Origo for the transfer, then Aegon are normally fine.

  • I have an Aegon pension fund and found them excellent. Even today I had a problem which was brought about by my own fault, and they sorted it out immediately.

I transferred all my holdings from Aegon about 2 years ago and yes, they were very slow. They transferred 80% to the new holder quickly but the remaining 20% just sat there despite the new holder contacting them several times. In the end I had to write a complaint letter to their customer service department (which I sent signed for). Magically the remaining 20% got transferred over not long after.................
