Hi I wonder if anyone can advise me on this please….can the manager who started the process to get me dismissed, can they decide the fate of the employee? They never did the investigating but was there at the HR meeting…..it was also done via teams rather than in person, is that allowed? Any advice would be great

How long had you worked there before you were dismissed? If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Hi, it was under 2 years and I know that there is the ‘2 year’ rule but unsure where I stand0

Providing you were given the correct notice period, were paid up to date (including any holiday pay), were not dismissed on account of a "protected characteristic" and the manager had the authority to dismiss you, I don't think there is much, if anything you can do.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1

As HR were involved I would expect the dismissal decision to be jointly make. Even if it was the manager who had the final decision there is little you can do.0
