Stick blender

I’m looking for a new stick blender, I was thinking of getting one in the Boxing Day sales. I prefer the ones with a metal bit at the bottom rather than plastic. I don’t need all the attachments, just the cheapest good quality one. Any recommendations?

  • Ours is made by VonShef and has lasted years with no issues. It came with a mini food processor attachment too, which is really handy for making hummus or mayonnaise, or just chopping veg.

The Braun I have has lasted 15 years+ of several times a week use, and the mini-food processor attachment is genuinely useful. Decent power. The whisk attachment, however, is a waste of plastic.

The nearest current model is the Braun MultiQuick 5, will cost you around £50-60 at the usual retailers.
