Can anyone tell me if I am correct or imagining things.
Has the Nationwide just reduced it's interest on fixed rate mortgages again?
I'm trying to decide between fixed or tracker and this looks to me they have reduced the rate by 0.2%
Fixed rate mortgages
Term Minimum Deposit With £389 reservation fee
2 years 4.49% 5.9% APR
3 years 4.69% 5.8% APR
5 years 4.79% 5.7% APR
10 years 4.89% 5.5% APR
Term Minimum Deposit No reservation fee
2 years 4.89% 5.9% APR
3 years 5.09% 5.9% APR
5 years 5.19% 5.8% APR
10 years 5.29% 5.7% APR

you are correct

Looks like a few other lenders will be following alongindependent mortgage/financial adviser martin@hendersonponsford.com0 -
It is correct. You even have Abbey offering a 4.64% 2 year Fixed Rate with no penalty after the 2 years. They even have a 2 year Fix with No Early Repayment Charge at all (even during the Fixed rate term. We could go on about lenders and rates fixed below Bank of England. However, Northern Rock have mentioned that they are a "Rate Watch" where they may withdraw Fixed rates and put them upwards, because there has been upward movement in the SWAP rates (These govern pricing of Fixed Rates) in the last few days, so it may be a trend thats is about to change for a while.
