I don't think I qualify for job seeker allowance, but it's very low anyway.

Check, but your Income Protection Insurance may want you to apply for it if you are eligible as a condition of paying out....

I will surely apply to my unemployment insurance, but due to unfair dismissal I was having doubts in the other thread, I hope it will be fine...

Use your redundancy money to start with. That is what it is for.
You need to stop saying you were unfairly dismissed, When the reality seems to be that you were made redundant, you were paid redundancy money but you disagree with the process. That is very different to unfair dismissal.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

You keep saying "unfair dismissal" but elsewhere you stated you were made redundant and have received a pay out although you believe your selection for that process was not fair, that's going to be difficult to prove.

As above, you'll have that redundancy money to survive on initially and as you have said in your other topic you were employed for over 2 years and as you have paid NI then you may be able to claim JSA.

When you're made redundant in the wrong way, it's considered unfair dismissal as far as I know, but I'm not a lawyer so take it for what it is.
Yes, the process was not correct and I can prove it, as it's been reviewed with a private lawyer already.

Almost every company pays what it needs to pay for the notice, it's the rest that always cracks, as you lost your job for example.

You were paid redundancy, what more do you think you would get by taking legal action......that you seemingly can't afford.

Unfair dismissal through redundancy is a very painful process. My wife was selected for redundancy just after notifying her manager that she was pregnant.  He had openly told her that he didn't like paying women on maternity leave and when digging down we discovered that the person selected to stay was on a recent final written warning whereas she had a 100% clean disciplinary record.

That said it took over a year to settle and that was pretty much on the day before we expected to go to tribunal.

So you may or may not have a claim for wrongful dismissal but they can take a long time to go anywhere and you would have to be realistic about what you would hope to achieve.

My suggestion would be that you need to focus on the now and getting yourself in a position to survive.

As your 3 topics progress you seem to contradict yourself more.

Unfairly dismissed when actually selected for redundancy which you believe may have been unfair.

This being reviewed by a lawyer that you said you cannot afford, are they working pro bono because of the injustice of your situation?

Unemployed but then still employed for a short while longer so still being paid with your redundancy pay out to come.

Are they paying more than the statutory amount and how many years above the 2+ you quoted have you been employed?

Have you contacted your insurer and ascertained whether they will pay you for being out of work?

I am rather surprised that you do not know about unions as they part fund the current party in power as well as representing the doctors currently on strike.

That would impact my unemployment insurance, so I'll need to wait to see how it develops for that.
Anyway, if you do that and you're specialized, usually you're looked bad by the next employer, go to explain that...

What a shame, I'm so sorry for your wife...

Yes, the tribunal is madness, in my case for the cost but also for the waiting time, I've been told around 2y.
For me it would be just great if the insurance pays out...
