Change bank blocked

As per MSE recommendation, I went to change banks from TSB to Santander (for the £200). Online, I asked for money to be transferred. Received message telling me they wanted to check it out. Next message asked me to call them, which I did and the man told me it was the Fraud Dept. but he could find nothing wrong, so the block was cleared. Same again when I tried to transfer the money. However, when I logged off and on, my account was totally blocked by TSB. I attended the branch and the member of staff said he could find nothing wrong with the account and did not understand the blocking. He rang head office and it took 25 minutes for him to deal with the matter. (I had now decided to close the account with TSB). Very poor of TSB and will not be using them for the foreseeable future.

Difficult to follow that - switching banks for an incentive requires you to use the Current Account Switching Service, which, among other things, transfers the balance for you and then closes the old account. Has the switch date happened yet?1
