Link financial help

Hi I have received a letter from link saying  they haven't recieved my payment of £4.99 on my fraser group account due on 28/11/2025. I haven't got an account with these people and I haven't been paying anyone 4.99.
I did wonder if it was anything to do with an old account with studio I stopped paying  2 and a half years ago as google said frasers and studio were linked. I am going to phone them but not sure whether to ask if its anything to do with studio or if the onus is on them to have the information.
The reason incidentally I stopped paying studio years ago was that they refused to halt interest and the debt was going up every month. This doesn't explain the £4.99 a month as I was paying them much more than that. A debt  of £400 had risen to over £700 with late payment fees and charges.
I tried to log into my old studio account but my statements are no longer available.
What should I ask link when I call them please.

Frasers bought Studio in 2022, so this is likely to be your old Studio account. Have you seen if it is defaulted on a credit report/

Do you have other problem debts that you just stopped paying?

Hi yes.  But I have contactedmost of them and agreed a monthly  amount . Really what I want to know is. If I call them will they be able to tell me if this is studio and if I should ask them to default it to freeze the interest as it says on the letter they could default it if I don't keep up with my.payment arrangement. I don't have a payment arrangement with studio as I stopped paying them in early 2023 and as far as I know they could still be piling on interest. I need the interest to be frozen to make it worth offering to pay anything

You need to complain to Frasers that they should have defaulted the debt months ago. Link will then have to use that defaulted date. You could also look at making an affordability complaint to frasers

Don`t call them, anything to do with debt, put it in an email, or in writing, never get into conversation with these people on the phone, as its their "weapon of choice".

Its all too easy to persuade you to set up a payment plan, for something that may not even be yours.

The prove-it letter is the way to start communications here.
