when was the reposession ?
did moneybarn notify when the car was sold and what you still owed them? how much is this?
how does this show on your credit record at the moment?
what is the rest of your financial situation at the moment like?0 -
Sending such things is their subtle way of introducing themselves as the new owner of your, I assume, shortfall debt accrued after the car was repossessed, sold, and it didn`t cover what was owed.
Claiming you have missed a payment makes you question yourself, and puts uncertainty and doubt in your mind, and they are hoping you will then contact them to discuss matters.
Was this a letter or an email?
If they write to you, respond with the prove-it letter, see what comes back.
You can`t report direct to FCA, so that won`t get you anywhere, and FOS can only be involved once you have exhausted the companies own disputes process.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
