Settlement interest 'rebate' fee??

Hi, I recently requested a settlement figure for a loan. I paid the figure on the same day and presumed that was it and I owed no more. There was no mention of anything extra during the call.  A week later I received a letter demanding a 'rebate fee' of £66.35.  I have no idea what this is for. Why I wasn't advised of this and what is the point of a settlement figure if it isn't then settled?  Confused..
Any help would be gratefully received.  Many thanks.

  • Is it definitely a demand for payment? The settlement figure should have been full and final as long as it was still valid when you paid...
