What type of books do World of Books buy?

Are they easy to deal with?

  • @Grumpy_chap I've used them a few times in the last year when clearing out. I downloaded their app, where you can scan the book/CD/DVD barcode and it will give you a rough price. There's a minimum threshold of £5 value or 10 books (I think) and then you pack them up in a box, and take to an InPost location.
The communication about delivery is good, although I've found World of Books a little slow at providing updates from their end.
I've received what I was quoted most of the time but have had a few instances where the quality of the book didn't meet their expectations, or item seemed to get lost out of the box. Still made a good bit of money (and storage) back, so wasn't too bothered by this as these items weren't valuable

Evening everyone, hope everyone is doing ok.

#22 - Week one of Feb has got off to a good start. My FB Marketplace sale went through and a couple of sales on Vinted.

Unfortunately DPD didn't turn up to collect the books so I will have to open the box and rescan - keeping fingers crossed they turn up next time. I've got quite a lot to upload to Vinted but I find it more manageable when I just do a few things every couple of days.

I also have some older game stations and games which we will be taking to CEX next weekend to see what kind of cash trade in they will do. So far February's total is:

    £120.00 FB Marketplace

    £38.00 Vinted

    £12.00 Market Research

    Feb Total so far: £200

    Overall Total: £598.00
