HMRC Tax Underpayment

I have changed jobs several times since 2020 and according to HMRC I have underpaid my tax each year since then, and now I am having to pay back what I supposedly owe. Is there any business that can help me to understand if what HMRC says I owe is correct. HMRC do not provide any statements or anything outlining how much I have already paid back and how much i owe. It seems I go into each year and another outstanding amount appears. Tax specialists are not interested in advising me, saying if HMRC says it is so, then it is.

Information on your personal tax account with HMRC will show what you have earned, the tax you should have paid, and the actual tax you have paid - if there is a difference - that's what you owe.

you don't need a company to tell you that - you just need a calculator.

So you have no payslips, P60's, P45 etc from these 'several jobs'. Ultimately HMRC process the pay and tax information provided by your employer (and P11d info if appropriate) all of which you should have frim your employers.

Happy to help out with this, but as others have said you'd need your P60's, P45s etc from each job, or at a minimum a rough figure of how much you earned in each tax year.
