  • Look at the IMOO smart watch.  Around £109 on Amazon. Very basic smartwatch, needs a sim card. So you can make/receive calls. It links to your mobile so you are in control. They can't actually text, but can receive texts and do video calls to people you set up on the app on your phone. Some of the bits are nonsense but it you want basic it works. 
    Or as others have suggested a very smartphone.

    Personally i have Google Pixel watch 3 (LTE version) which has  impressive personal security apps can use as mobile phone without a nearby mobile handset but need to be shared with mobile phone tariff.The pixel watch 1(LTE) is avaliable from cex from £45 strap extra
