affordability complaint...when to submit

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere but was just wondering if there was a best time to request affordability being looked at? Is it best waiting until the debt has defaulted and sold or to put the complaint in straight away. I have a number of credit card debts and am now going down the route of building up a fund and with a lump sum payment (circa £3000) due end of June looking at wanting to offer settlement at a reduced cost. Obviously any interest refunded due to unaffordability would be helpful. Many Thanks in advance

Hi,
I'm not sure if it's the best time or if there is a best time, but I submitted all mine once I made the decision on what I was doing before I'd even missed the first or second payment on my debts and manage to clear some debt early on because of it so my advice would be to get started straight away and keep up the momentum. Please wait for some other members to confirm though first as I'm very inexperienced with all this and have relied on their advice so far.0 -
if you want to make reduced offers in June, this is very soon. I suggest you want to make any affordability complaints now, so you have a better idea of what may be possible from that angle first0
