Loan offer in place need advice

I have a loan offer in place which I wanted to accept today but can only do via post as the website has malfunctioned.
Would it be possible for me to apply for a loan from another lender whilst I have a personal loan offer from the current lender.
Basically can I apply for a loan whilst I have an offer from a lender already that I have not accepted?

You can apply for as many loans as you want, the lenders will be able to see that you have made applications elsewhere when a hard search is done and they will take that into consideration when deciding if to lend or not... they won't be able to see if you were accepted or not by the other lenders.Money_Savy_23 said:I have a loan offer in place which I wanted to accept today but can only do via post as the website has malfunctioned.

Can't you phone the firm and deal with acceptance over the telephone if their website is down?0 -
It's possible (although unlikely) that a lender for a personal loan (I'm assuming it is a personal loan here) could do a second credit check before releasing the funds although I don't think I've ever heard of that happening.Money_Savy_23 said:I have a loan offer in place which I wanted to accept today but can only do via post as the website has malfunctioned.

For mortgages? Possibly. Loans? Not really.
Now never say never but I applied for a personal loan to buy a car a couple of years ago and ended up making three applications, all approved but at progressively lower interest rates, bizarrely. And so I ended up cancelling the first two apps (one auto-sent the funds which I had to return) and going with the third.
If you're happy to accept that you're going to get 3 hard searches then there's not really any reason to not search elsewhere. They're extremely unlikely to rescind the offer.0
